DirecTV wanted to give New York bars something useful: free animated Instagram content they could post to promote NBA game nights at their establishments. No complicated playbook, no hoops to jump through — just fun, shareable motion graphics that helped game nights slam dunk on social feeds.
The creative director's brief: make it Terry Gilliam. So I took the ball and ran. Surreal collage chaos, cutout figures flying across screens, absurdist humor soaked in retro grime. He trusted my aesthetic and let me play, so I delivered multiple animated posts with that vintage Monty-Python feel - nothing but net when it came to stopping thumbs mid-scroll.
Clean handoff of project files and assets. DirecTV ran the offense from there.
This project proved I can take loose creative briefs, filter them through my visual DNA, and deliver work that hits hard while staying unmistakably mine. Point me toward the hoop and give me space — I'll make the shot count.
